Dehradun, 2, April. Graphic Era Deemed University, today, handed over 2200 kg of food grains to the administration for the success of the government's campaign to not let anyone go hungry.
President of Graphic Era Group, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, handed over the third consignment of food grains to the administration in the university campus. In this, 200 packets of food grains containing, flour, rice, pulses, oil, salt, spices etc. have been given keeping in mind the ration requirements of 10 days for a normal family . Earlier Graphic Era has made 409 such packets available to the administration and police.
On this occasion, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala informed that arrangements have been made for the hundreds of labourers working at all sites of Graphic Era to have food there so that no one comes out on the roads during the lockdown period. He informed that 60 rooms have been made available to the state government for quarantine by Graphic Era. Rooms with attached washrooms are provided after proper sanitization. The university will provide 1000 packets of food grains.

Graphic Era handed over the fourth consignment of food grains to the Administration

Dehradun, 8th April. Graphic Era Deemed University handed over the fourth consignment of food grains to the administration today to not let anyone go hungry during the lockdown.
In the University campus, the Registrar of Graphic Era Deemed University, Dr. MP Singh handed over a total of 200 packets of about 2200 kg to the district administration as the fourth batch of food grains. These packets meant for the poor and for the destitute which includes flour, rice, lentils, oil, salt, spices etc. for a 10-day portion of a normal family. So far, Graphic Era has distributed 8899 kg of food grains, pulses, oil etc. through the university administration and police. Apart from this, a lot of food grains have been distributed directly.
President Graphic Era Educational Group, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala said that it is necessary to make lockdown effective to prevent the infection of novel corona virus. During the lockdown, Graphic Era has decided to give around 11000 kg of food grains, pulses, oil, spices etc. in the form of one thousand packets to make the government's mission of providing food to daily wage laborers and destitute people successful. Along with this, arrangements have been made to feed about 300 laborers on all their sites so that they do not have to step out.

Graphic Era will name a Faculty Building in the name of late freedom Fighter Shri Painuly

Dehradun, 12 April. Prof. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, President, Graphic Era Educational Group, has expressed deep condolences on the death of freedom fighter and philanthropist Dr. Sachidanand Painuly.
Dr. Ghanshala said that Shri Sachidanand Painuly who had been to jail at the age of 17 due to his involvement in the freedom struggle as a teenager, dedicated himself to social service after attaining Independence. He made an active contribution in the rehabilitation work during the time of partition and then played an important role in Acharya Vinoba Bhave's Bhoodan movement. For a long time he was also active for rehabilitation and employment of Tehri.
Describing his death as irreparable loss, Dr. Ghanshala said that a faculty building will be named after Dr. Sachidanand Painuly in Graphic Era, so that the new generation can learn from his ideals and sacrifices and take inspiration from them. Significantly, Shri Sachhidanand Painuly was conferred with the honorary title of Doctor of Philosophy at the first convocation of Graphic Era Hill University on 25th February 2017 for his contribution to the freedom movement and social service.

15 April, 2020, Dehradun. Graphic Era makes its annual Kavi Sammelan internationally acknowledged during lockdown period. Graphic Era through e-Kavi Sammelan now connects with lakhs of people as the Kavi sammelan that takes place every year on 15th April witnessing thousands of people is now made available online. Convener of this Kavi Sammelan and an eminent poet Dr. Praveen Shukla said that this Kavi Sammelan is very unique and the first of its type in the world.
On the birth anniversary of Founder and president of Graphic Era Group, Prof. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, this Kavi Sammelan is being organized from the past 18 years. This time, Graphic Era has adopted a new innovation because of lockdown and keeping social distancing in mind. Renowned poet Dr. Praveen ShuklA has anchored the programme from his Delhi studio to bring it at this level. The programme began with the ritual of Saraswati Vandana. Speakership of the sammelan was done by renowned poet and film lyricist Santosh Anand. After this, the Kavi Sammelan was connected to the entire world through YouTube.
Renowned film lyricist and poet Santosh Anand began the sammelan with his famous song “Zindagi ki na toote ladi…pyyaar kar le ghadi do ghadi..”. Renowoned comic poet Padmashri Surendra Sharma recited a Haryanvi poem “Jab main Ramleela mein Laxman bana..”. Famous poet Rahat Indori recited “Roz taron ki numaish mein khalal padta hai, chand pagal hai andhere mein nikal padta hai” and other such beautiful creations. Dr. Hariom Panwar challenged the terrorists through his poetry. Dr. Praveen Shukla targeted politicians through his poetry.
Dr. Kunwar Bechain, Vineet Chauhan. Shaira Anjum Rahbar, Kavi Shambhu Shikhar, and Sapna Soni also participated in the Kavi Sammelan. Many poets recited poetry on Corona Virus, and many others sparked the laughter amidst Corona's horror. On this occasion, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala was praised for his contribution in the field of higher education and also wished for his longevity.

Dr Ghanshala Celebrated His Birthday by Distributing 3850 Kilograms of Food Grains
Dehradun, 15th April. Prof (Dr) Kamal Ghanshala, President Graphic Era Group celebrated his birthday by distributing food grains to 350 families   for 10 days needs. Associating with government’s campaign of not letting anybody go hungry Dr Ghanshala distributed food grains of 3850 kilograms.
Dr Ghanshala today in the morning along with the Police and administration distributed food grains to 95 destitute families for 10days needs of Bharuwala Grant of Clement town region. These food grains comprised of flour, rice, pulses, oil, salt, spices etc. Along with food grains he also distributed vegetables of more than 100 kilograms. These families were distributed masks earlier in presence of the police administration. During the distribution social distancing was maintained.
After this along with Prem Nagar police food grain packets were distributed among 135 families of Dhul Kot village and other nearby villages of the area. Dr Ghanshala handed over 120 food grain packets comprising of flour, rice, pulses, oil, salt, spices etc. for destitute families to the administration team.



Dehradun,17th April, 2020. The center at Graphic Era University is becoming a new center for preparing equipments for fighting the war of Corona. In this center, new discoveries are being made for keeping the doctors and police administration safe in the fight against Corona. Graphic Era students have successfully got their Robot tested in Delhi AIIMS.

Graphic Era’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI) has successfully designed robot and drone according to the needs of doctors and police in fight against Covid-19.After Completing B.Tech from Graphic Era University Manas Upadhyaya and Avinash Chandra Pal opened their company De-Town Robotics Private Limited in this center and have designed special robot for protecting doctors against the infection of Covid-19.Saurav Karir who has completed MCA from Graphic Era is also part of this project.

From a student of Graphic Era to a partner in this company, Manas Upadhyay said that this robot will protect the doctors in directly coming in contact of Covid-19 patients. From giving medicine to the patient till doing video conferencing with the patient everything can be managed by this robot. This robot can also remove garbage from rooms of quarantined patients. Under the supervision of Prof (Dr) A.Sharir of All India Medical Sciences (AIIMS) this robot was successfully tested, yesterday. Mentor of this company and faculty of Graphic Era Mr. Gagan Bansal said that according to AIIMS experts this robot is exactly operative in the fight against Covid-19.

The same alumni company has prepared drone for police to monitor an area, track the movement of people, deliver essentials and make live or recorded announcements without going to the crowd. This special drone of Graphic Era's TBI's DeTown Company was demonstrated yesterday to the Director of Uttarakhand’s Information Technology Development Authority (ITDA) Mr. Amit Sinha.

Another company AVK Education Private Limited of the same TBI of Graphic Era has prepared a face shield to protect the doctors and police personnel involved in the war against Corona from infection. Today, CEO of TBI , Dr. Vishal J.C. along with startup partner Graphic Era Deemed University’s final year student of mechanical engineering, Madhur Saxena, demonstrated this face shield to medical department and administration officials. This team, today, informed about the rescue from this shield to C.D.O. Nitika Khandelwal, Additional District Magistrate Veer Singh Buddhiyal and Deputy CMO. Dr. Kailash Gunjiyal. This team also handed over 40 face shields to the administration.

President of Graphic Era Educational Group, Prof. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, said that the result of connecting education with new technologies, providing practical and expert services in state-of-the-art laboratories for free is that the students and alumni are exploring the needs of the country and society and are succeeding one after the other. In this way, students are becoming job givers, not just job seekers. In this hour of disaster, Graphic Era stands with the country with full capacity.
