“Universal Hues” in Graphic Era

Dehradun, 1st August 2019. Cultures of different nations will be seen tomorrow (today) in Graphic Era University. Students from more than 12 countries will be participating in the event, “Universal Hues”.  PR and marketing head of the university Mr. Sahib Sablok said that students from various countries like Nigeria, Angola , Egypt, UK, China will be participating in the event. The main objective of organizing this event is to give a platform to representatives from different countries to showcase their culture and cuisines at one place. 

HAL director visits Graphic Era

Dehradun, August 1: Director, Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL), Mr. V M Chamola visited Graphic Era today. Mr Chamola interacted with the senior office bearers of Graphic Era Deemed University and also visited the modern laboratories of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electrical Communication Engineering departments set up in the university campus. Before this, Mr. Chamola spoke with Pro Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Deemed University, Prof. (Dr). H N Nagaraja, Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Hill University, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Jasola, Dean Research, Dr. Bhashkar Pant, Head International Affairs, Dr. D P Gangodkar, Head of Mechanical Engineering department, Prof. Puneet Gupta, Head of Electrical Engineering department, Prof. Parvez Saini, Head of Electrical Communication Engineering departmnet, Dr Irfanul Hassan and Head of Computer Science department, Dr Devesh Pratap Singh and discussed the latest developments in the field of Aerospace Engineering. Mr. Chamola later visited Graphic Era Hill University, where Vice-Chancellor Dr Jasola welcomed him by offering Uttarakhand’s official cap, designed by the department of Fashion Designing.

Different international cultures seen in Graphic era

International colors of UK, Servia, England, China, Nigeria, Angola, Yemen, France, Egypt, Indonesia, seen in the premises of Graphic Era. This was the occasion and celebration of International Hues in Graphic Era deemed University.

Today students delegation of different countries reached Graphic era deemed University. Under  the student exchange program and collaboration with different international Universities students from International countries and students of Graphic era Group undergo this exchange program.

Students of various countries prepared non-alcoholic mocktails of their respective regions in the hotel management department of the University. The international students served their regional mocktails to the University students who showed there dummy passports of their various native palce.

International students and Indian students showcased there cultural performances in “Global Hues” where International students performed Jazz, Hip-hop, Tango and Indian students Uttarakhandi folk dances.

On the occasion Pro Vice-chancellor, Graphic Era deemed University Prof. (Dr). H.N. Nagraja, Dean International affairs Prof.(Dr.) D.P. Gangodkar, Suchit Arora were also present. Event was coordinated by Mr. Sahib Sablok.


07, August, 2019, Dehradun.  Graphic Era Deemed University student Sarthak Kohli has signed a package of 28.75 lakhs with Amazon. This is a big success for the students of Graphic Era, as they are receiving packages ranging from 26 to 55 lakh rupees in US companies Adobe and SNS.

Sarthak Kohli, a B Tech Computer Science Engineering student of Graphic Era, has been offered this package by Amazon after several stages of rigorous examination. Sarthak is a resident of Dehradun. He has been offered this appointment by Amazon as Software Development Engineer. He has been instructed to join duty in the third week of this month. After receiving the package, Sarthak says that Graphic Era is an institution that transforms dreams into reality. He owes his success to the teachers of Graphic Era and the top management who have always inspired him to grow.

A wave of joy flourished in the university as soon as Sarthak got a good placement. Students expressed their happiness by singing and dancing. Chairman of the Graphic Era Group, Professor Dr. Kamal Ghansala said that the new record of placements is actually a success to connect the education of Graphic Era with the needs of the industry. With the rapid changes in the world of technology, Graphic Era is also connecting its laboratories with new technologies at the same intensity.

Amazon Web Services started in Graphic Era

Graphic Era has createsd another record, After fulfilling the stringent criteria of the Central Government's ICT Academy, Graphic Era Deemed to be University has established Uttarakhand's first amazon web service academy.

Amazon Web Service Academy enables diverse education institutions to deliver curriculum and hands on learning experiences to prepare students for employment in cloud roles. Cloud technologies are very helpful in the present scenario and therefore employees with necessary cloud skills are in high demands. Amazon Web Service academy helps various institutes in training students in cloud computing so that they can be made industry ready. 

The AWS academy lab was jointly  inaugurated by Senior Manger, ICT academy, Anand Babu,  AWS academy, President (INDIA and  SAARC Nations), Amit Rawat and Pro Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Deemed University H N Nagraja. Senior Manager, ICT, Anand Babu, congratulated the management of Graphic Era for producing graduates who are placed in renowned MNCs across the globe. Dean International Affairs, Dr D P Gangotkar, program coordinator Dr Vijay Singh, Teachers and Students remained present on the occasion.

Quality is the key to Success- Dr Ghanshala

Dehradun, 14 Aug.  The 12th foundation day of Graphic Era Deemed to be University was celebrated amid  the joy of creating new placement records. The foundation day celebration increased manifolds because of the commendable sucess achieved on the very first day of the placement drive for the new session. 

 It was today in 2008 that the central government had upgraded the status of Graphic Era from an institute to a Deemed University.  While speaking about university's achievement after its foundation, speakers said that the placements of Btech students in fat packages in the world's prominent companies is a result of quality education, highly qualified faculties, state-of-the-art laboratory and excellent infrastructure of the university.

Speaking on the occasion, President, Graphic Era Group, Prof Dr Kamal Ghanshala said that there were more than 1000 universities and institutes in the country when Graphic Era got Deemed status in 2008. Now graphic  figures in the list of 100-150  top institutes in the country. This means that Graphic Era has taken this challenge and done a commendable work.  Back in those days the maximum package was rupees ₹3 lac, today, this has risen to ₹55 lac. Dr Ghanshala said that Graphic Era keeps quality of education and new technology on its priority list. Quality is the key to success, he added. 

The foundation day celebration started with a mesmerizing dance performance on grahwali songs.  Students performed several interesting cultural activities.  A huge cake was cut on the occasion. Chancellor Graphic Era Deemed University, Dr R C Joshi, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr H N Nagraja, Vice Chancellor Graphic Era Hill University, Dr Sanjay Jasola and several teachers and office bearers remained present on the occasion

Graphic era is organising Walk for water program today. The program is being organised bye Graphic Era University. News york based celebrity fashion designer Sanjana Jon, social activist and member of Film Censor board Surendra Singh Bidhori and Aaj Tak TV Journalist Parevez Sagar will deliver lectures on Water Conservation.
The students of Graphic Era University and Graphic Era Hill University will later take on Kalash Yatra in order to spread the message of Water Conservation. Students will also plant trees in University premises as a part of the program.The program is being organised by Par Anand Charitable trust, Smart Education and Welfare Association, along with Beti and Siksha Foundation.

Not discussions but actions would resolve water crisis.

Seminar on water conservation held in Graphic Era 

Dehradun 31Aug  In a water conservation seminar held in Graphic Era, specialist said that  water problems can be resolved not by talking but by taking  actions.  On this occasion the studnets took out a Kalash yatra which gave  a message of water conservation.

This program was organised by the department of Civil engineering, Graphic Era deemed to be University. Speaking on this occasion the chief guest, Sanjana John, a celebrity fashion designer from New York said that water conservation is not just a need but its our responsibility. The Vice chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Prof (Dr) Rakesh Kumar Sharma said that the agriculture sector uses the highest amount of water resources, so it is important to practice water conservation methods in this sector. By 2030, the water problems will take the worst shape.

Member of  Central Film Censor Board and a young activist, Surendra Singh Viduri motivated the studnets to be a part of water conservation campaigns and said that for conserving water for the upcoming generation everyone have to take initiative at their own levels. Journalist at Aajtak TV network and Founder of SEWA India, Mr Parvez Sagar said water conservation is a big issue but we are not able to lift this issue through news. 

Walk for Water event led to a kalash yatra,  Hundreds of student from Graphic Era Deemed University, Graphic Era Hill University and NSS took a rally in Clementown area with a vase filled with ganges water and conveyed the message of water conservation to the general public. After this, the students also planted trees in the university campus.  Vice Chancellor GEU, Prof Dr. R.C.Joshi, Pro-vice Chancellor GEU, Prof. Dr. H.N. Nagaraj, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering Dr. Sanjeev Kumar were also present in this event. Pankhuri, a student of Graphic era global school welcomed all the experts.
