Prof  Saharasbudhe urges the university to Plant trees instead of presenting memento

Chairman, AICTE Prof A Sahasrabudhe urged the university officials to have the visiting dignitaries plant  trees rather than presenting  mementos during ceremonies. He said that this will reduce the use of paper, wood and plastic and help preserve the environment.

Prof Sahasrabudhe said this during his address in the 9th convocation ceremony of Graphic Era Deemed to be University on 15 December, 2018. He added that the acknowledgement of tree plantation could be given on a plain paper and handed over to the concerned person as a certificate. QR code can also be printed on this certificate to help the concerned dignitary to monitor the growth of the plant himself.  Along with this, a latest photographs of the plant should be posted on the University’s official website every six months.

Prof Ani. D. Sharasbudhe along with the President and other officials of the University planted planted Rudraksha and Jasmine plants on the campus, at the conclusion ceremony of the Convocation.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ‘MATHEMATICAL TECHNIQUES IN ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS’ AT GRAPHIC ERA

“CROP PRODUCTIVITY CAN BE INCREASED BY USING MATHEMATICAL PRINCIPLES”

Scientist Mr. Ashok Ghokle from Illinois State government of USA said that crop productivity can be increased by using mathematical principles. He was addressing second day of the International Mathematical conference in the Graphic Era Deemed University. Mr. Ghokle emphasized on the mathematical models and equipments that can be used to dispose the waste that is produced by the increasing population around the world. He said that there can be times when fertilizers adversely affect the aquatic life and mathematical tools can be used to solve such problems.
Prof. Anu. A Ghokle of Illinois State university of USA said that Indian culture is so extensive and significant that it has reached NASA. And they are using Sanskrit language for detecting aliens in space as Sanskriti has very simple grammar rules. She also emphasised on enhancing the quality of research in India and also advised to find new research data and work on the derived parameters.
Prof. Rajendra Pant of Department of pure and applied mathematics, University of Johannesburg, South Africa said that Mathematics is the only subject which can help in developing the analytical and logical reasoning in the people.
Citing an example of Bitcoin, Dr. Adarsh Anand of Department of Operational Research, Delhi University said that software vulnerability models are discovered for treating the viruses and malware that are being developed from the websites and web portals.
Prof. Sankar Kumar Roy of Vidyasagar University gave mathematical formulas for reducing transportation cost and time  that will reduce the price of products.
Convener of the conference Dr. Mangeyram said that around two hundred experts from across the world have participated in this two-day conference and a total of 97 research papers were presented in the conference.
On this occasion, Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Prof. Dr. R.C Joshi, Vice Chancellor of GEHU Prof. Dr. Sanjay Jasola, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GEU Prof. Dr.H.N Nagaraja, Head of the Mathematics department of GEU Dr. Ritu Chandana, head of Mathematics department of GEHU Dr. Neeraj Dhiman, Dr. Anand, Dr. Seema, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Tamsir, Dr. Satyajeet along with other specialists were present.

A Two day International Conference on Mathematical Techniques in Engineering Applications’

Begins at Graphic Era

A Two day International Conference on Mathematical Techniques in Engineering Applications started from 7 December, 2018 at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. Around two hundred experts from across the world are participating in the conference. A total of 97 research papers will be presented in the conference.

On the inaugural day of the conference Prof. Hoang Pham of Rutgers University addressed the experts. According to him around two lac cases of breast cancer cases in USA are detected with the help of mathematical techniques. Emphasizing upon the importance of mathematical techniques Prof. Hoang Pham said that statistics and machine learning can be used in fields  like business, engineering and medical sciences. With the help of these technologies, a large number of data can be minimized and easily analyzed . He also said that the interface of mathematics and computer science can be applied to solve the problem of the various fields.

Prof. Om Prakash Yadav of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department of North Dakota State University, in his presentation  said that it is important to have right assessment of the products in order to increase the reliability of the product.  For this, mathematical principles can be used for changing the designs which will help in increasing the quality of the products.

Former Professor of Delhi University and renowned mathematician, Prof. P.K. Kapur said that mathematical principles and functions can be used for software launching and testing which will help in removing the defects of the products and company will get larger market place.

Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma said that the information obtained from many researches  can have some  contradictions but  Meta Analysis can help  in solving this problem. Citing an  example of blood pressure Prof  Suresh Kumar said that the average blood pressure has changed with time and this is the reason for variation in data from researchers and Meta Analysis solves such problems.

Dr. Debasis Kundu , of the department of Mathematics and Statistics at IIT- Kanpur highlighted on the importance of mathematical principles and techniques in daily life. He said that principles of mathematics can guarantee success in every field.

Vice chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma emphasized on the significance of mathematical principles in the field of engineering and also talked about the importance of the conference.

On this occasion, Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be  University Prof. Dr. R.C Joshi, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University  Prof. Sanjay Jasola, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be  University, Prof. Dr.H.N Nagaraja, Head of the Mathematics department of Graphic Era Deemed to be  University, Dr. Ritu Chandana, head of Mathematics department of  Graphic Era Hill University,  Dr. Neeraj Dhiman , Convener of the conference Prof . Mange Ram, Dr. Anand, Dr. Seema, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Tamsir, Dr. Satyajeet along with other Science and Mathematics experts were present.
