Global Immersion Program

The students of MBA Batch (2017-19) of GEU  visited Dubai for an “Global Immersion Programme” . The journey stared on 19.11.2018 and was successfully completed on 24.11.2018. The under mentioned team from the Graphic Era Family was deputed to accompany the students.

The tour was managed by THOMAS COOK (Tours and Travels). The details of the tour experiences are mentioned below in chronological order:

On the evening of 19.11.2018, the students assembled at GEU Gate - 1 to board Bus Coach to proceed for  Chandigarh. The group boarded flight to Dubai on the evening of 19.11.2018 from the Chandigarh International Airport to reach Dubai by the same evening at Hotel Hampton by Hilton.

DAY ONE: 20.11.2018

9:00a.m.

The students were ready to travel to American University of Dubai for a Session on “Policy Effect of Foreign Exchange Regime” by Prof. Burcu Kapar, school of Business Administration.

      

3:00p.m.

The students were guided for a Desert Safari experience in several SUVs that accommodated seven people in one vehicle. After an amazing Safari in the desert the students were taken to a camp for camel ride, bike ride, photo shoots followed by Barbeque dinner along with sensational cultural Arabic performances including Tanoura Dance, Belly Dance etc.

 

9:30 p.m

The team returned to the hotel and retired for the day.

DAY TWO: 21.11.2018

9:00 a.m.

The students were in Uniform to depart for the Industrial Visit to the Pepsi Co factory. It was a very informative practical exposure for the group. The students witnessed the world’s most technically advance automated bottling process at the plant. 

3:30 p.m.

The students visited the Mirazam Chocolate factory, a start up initiative where they witnessed the entire chocolate manufacturing process.

      

6:00 p.m.

The students were taken to the Meena Bazaar for Shopping.

8:00 p.m.

The group reached for a cruising experience at the Dubai creek. Dinner was served on board.

10:00 p.m.

The team returned to the hotel and retired for the day.

DAY THREE: 22.11.2019

8:30 a.m.

The students headed towards a memorable visit to Abu Dabhi to explore KIZAD Port Management Office, World’s fastest and largest formula one racing track, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque,city tour etc.) 

      

6:30 p.m.The students were taken to the Deira Market for shopping in the evening.

8:30 p.m.

Dinner was arranged en route at Mini Punjab Restaurant.

DAY FOUR: 23.11.2018

12:30 p.m.

The students lined up for the planned city tour of Dubai city under the guidance of professional local tour guides arranged by THOMAS COOK. It comprised visits to Dubai Museum, outside of the Jumerirah Mosque, Bur Dubai Creek Area, Jumerirah beach and other amazing locations.

      

The group visited,Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, the tallest building on earth that was a “once in a life time experience”

8:00 p.m.

The group was free for shopping at the Deira City Centre Mall

The group reached the airport to board flight back to Chandigarh

DAY FIVE: 24.11.2018.

10:30 A.M.

The students reached Chandigarh Airport to return back to the University.
