International Internship
- Mr. Christian Humberto Zurita, a student of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany has carried out an internship from January 2017 to February 2017 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Mr. Mohamed El Gammal, a student of German University in Cairo, Egypt has carried out an internship from January 2017 to February 2017 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Mr. Harshit Raj Chaudhary (Btech ME IIIrd year) carried out his summer internship in International Business from 17th July to 5th August 2017 at Birmingham City University, U.K.
- Ms. Sonali Thakur, a student of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Era University has carried out an internship from 3 January to 23 February 2017 at Universite de Haute-Alsace, France.
- Ms. Shivani Singh Baghel, a student of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Era University has carried out an internship from 3 January to 23 February 2017 at Universite de Haute-Alsace, France.

+Week long on-board training at HAL Bengaluru
Department of Mechanical Engineering is highly grateful to Chairman Sir Prof. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala Sir, VC Prof. Dr. H N Nagraja Sir, Program advisor Shri VM Chamola sir for supporting training of Aerospace engineering students at HAL Bengaluru.

A week long (Dec. 13-17, 2021) training of Aerospace Engineering Specialization student at HAL Management Academy (HMA) Bengaluru. Theme of the Training “Aircraft Systems and Manufacturing”
Apart from the classroom session they also visited the LCA division, Engine Division, Foundry and Forge Division and Helicopter division.

- International Research Collaborations Made by Dr.-Ing. Maharshi Subhash, with AVL-AST, Graz, Austria on13th July 2016. The company has provided the license of AVL AST software package (consists of six different modules for modeling and simulation in various fields of mechanical, Civil and Petroleum Engg.) up to 30 licenses each under University Partnership Program. The market price of this packages is around INR 2.0 crore per year.

Club Activities
+Eco kart 2017
Graphic Era University, "Team Vonk 3.0" of Mechanical Engineering students secured second place in national level ECOKART championship 2017.
The event was organized from March 1 to March 3, 2017 in Gurgaon Haryana. Start from the Virtual Round to the Dynamic in Racing Championship, a total of 112 different universities / institutes have participated. Team Vonk secured first place in North India and second place all over the India and received a total cash award of Rs 30,000.
FSI 2016
- The team GEU Motor Sports of Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering has participated in the National Event FORMULA STUDENT INDIA-2016 held at Budha International Circuit , India.
- The event was held from 23rdJanuary , 2016 to 29th January 2016.
- Our student has built the Formula sports car for the event.

Secured 8th position in virtual round and also nominated for best innovation award.

+SAE NIS Student convention-2014 was held at Graphic Era University on 22 Nov 2014. This Convention is Sponsored by Graphic Era University & SAE Northern India Section. The SAE Collegiate Clubs of different Universities/Colleges in and around Dehradun, participated in various events of the convention.
GEU MOTORPORTS
GEU Motorsports is a platform set by students and faculty member of SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun where students study and work on the various cars including Formula car, mileage car and other economical cars. GEU Motorsports is imbibed together by students from different engineering and management streams. We intend to design and fabricate a car that meets all the parameters and is not only an economical, beneficial, ecofriendly but also a real-life companion to our needs.

Report of the event:
Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Industrial Visit of 6th semester students to Rockman Industry on 27th Feb 2019. Rockman Industries is a part of Hero Group and a leading Aluminum Die Casting component, Machined & Painted Assemblies Supplier to world's largest motor cycle’s manufacturer. They learnt about manufacturing of die and the operations involved in high pressure die casting, low pressure die casting, finishing and painting with the help of shop floor managers. Alumni of GEU who are working there helped students to understand the different operations involved to convert the raw material to finished products.

Report of the event:
Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Industrial Visit of 6th semester students to Bajajsons Limited on 20th April 2019. Bajajsons limited is a leading industry for manufacturing components for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and tractors. The industrial visit to Bajajsons gave students an insight in the working atmosphere of an industry and the importance of discipline required. Students learnt the importance of KAIZEN in the industry.
Visit to Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited
Roorkee Uttarakhand.
Objectives: The visit is aimed to
- Introduce students to the industry culture.
- Application of Materials (glass) in the industry.
- Application of latest technologies used in manufacturing plant.
Outcomes: After the visit, students will be able to
- Learn the manufacturing processes involved in glass manufacturing.
- Learn the testing of finished glass product.
- Learn the movement of finished packed product from plant to warehouse by means of conveyors and small utility vehicles.

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit of 3rd semester students to Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited on 17th October 2019. Hindustan National Glass and Industries Limited is a leading glass manufacturing industry in India. The visit gave an exposure to students about the working culture of a manufacturing industry. Students learned about processes involved from raw material to the finished product.
Visit to Indian Institute of Petroleum

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit of 5th semester students to Indian Institute of Petroleum on 20th August 2019. IIP develops processes and products for petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. The visit gave an exposure to students about latest technologies and modeling and simulation used in petroleum industry.
