Career Prospects:

When you graduate with this major, you will have work options in the areas of focus within robotics and automation include automated systems technology, robotics maintenance, intelligent automation, and computer aided design. Robotics engineering deals with the design and maintenance of robotics technology as well as the development of new uses for robots. Most modern factories use some form of robotics to perform repetitive tasks that can be done faster and more efficiently. Another potential area of focus is the military where robots have been used detecting mines. Unmanned aircraft are used extensively to gather intelligence, while remote controlled armed ground robots have been used in a limited capacity already. This is just the beginning with robots expected to actively participate in combat and eventually help reduce the loss of human life while in combat. Graduates can explore fields that are heading towards or expanding the use of robotics such as the medical field, particularly surgical procedures where robotics are already being tested and emergency services such as fire and rescue.

Course Details:
  • This program is designed and developed with the support of Tata Technologies taking into consideration the industry-academia gap and restructured curriculum by adopting the next generation of technologies and tools to train students in the domain of mechatronics.
  • The Mechatronics Centre at Graphic Era will act as an incubation center for advanced technologies in the Automotive electronics field and provide the basic Automotive E&E architecture platform on which students will be able to experiment, research and innovate on the upcoming trends in automotive-like EV/HEV systems, Advance Driver assist system (ADAS), Connected Cars, Autonomous vehicle, Human Machine Interface (HMI), etc.
  • This program shall enable graduates to model a car simulated environment where all E&E hardware is put in a loop and the different driving, environmental, functional, etc. conditions can be simulated to check for the correctness of the design intent.

Doctoral Programmes

Eligibility Master’s Degree from any AIU/UGC/AICTE recognized University/ Institutions or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by the University. A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates).
