Academic training was provided to 08 students from Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana and 05 students of Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET), Meerut, UP

Initiated by the students of the Department of Biotechnology to create a platform for to transform their innovative ideas into business startups. A mushroom cultivation laboratory has been established by the club in the University. Biopreneurs Club celebrated the first anniversary of its establishment on November 03, 2017. Dr. S. Farooq, President, Himalaya Drug Company is the chief guest of the function. Dr. Poonam Sinha, Director, National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, Dehradun was the guest of honour and Ms. Divya Rawat, Brand Ambassador, Horticulture Department, Government of Uttarakhand, Dehradun was the keynote speaker in the function.
