In the changing global environment, a suitable job is of utmost importance for the graduating Engineers, which provides a fitting satisfaction to the student after completion.
 
Thus, to facilitate this aspiration of the graduating student we at Graphic Era University have a full-fledged Training and Placement Cell, which works towards the fulfillment of the student’s aspirations of a suitable job. The cell has been working towards this aspiration of the students and in the recent past, the cell has been able to hold campuses, joint campuses and off campuses for the students. The strategy of the placement cell has been to invite companies not only for the Final year students but also for the Third year students, the strategy which has been very fruit full and already out of 2009 batch many students were placed before they gave their third year final exams. 78% of the students from the last batch have been placed in different industries of repute.
 
Companies like Infosys Technologies, Syntel India Ltd., I- Flex, L&T Infotech Ltd., HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Impetus, Nucleus Software, Polaris Labs, Assurgent Technologies, Perot Systems, IBM, Tech Mahindra ltd., Sapient Corporation, Inter Globe Technologies, Indian Army, Indian Navy etc have been kind enough to provide placements to our students. The students have been from B Tech. ( Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Information Technology and Mechanical branches), MCA, MBA, M Sc IT and M Tech. Many of the students have also taken up teaching as a profession and have been placed as Lecturers with various engineering college in the state of Uttara Khand and neighbouring states.
 
Looking at the Current scenario my advice to the Students at large and in particular the Third year students would be to: 

• Groom themselves in terms of Personality and technical skills.
• Increase interaction with the industry during Training.
• Increased involvement in the activities of the placement cell.
• Proper understanding of the subject matter.
• Betterment in the academics so as to be able to meet the criterion set by the companies.
• Finally give their best during the Placement process.

Again the emphasis is on the preparation and giving ones best so as to be successful in being placed before one graduates.
