MBA

Our MBA program model combines a traditional but highly focused curriculum with a “shadow curriculum” of additional workshops, seminars & developing small-group learning experiences that are immersive, field-based, and action-oriented.  

We expect our students to immerse themselves wholly in the program during its 2 years. This immersion keeps them constantly moving from classroom to the field and sends a valuable signal to employers.

Our MBA program not only deliver the solid knowledge of traditional functions like finance, marketing, strategy etc. but also imparts intangible personal skills – ability to use data in a persuasive manner, lead teams & projects effectively and make an immediate impact.

Simply teaching theory in traditional classroom setting would not produce graduates with these intangible skills.

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS:

Leadership Programme:

After joining, all students go through this programme which inculcates a spirit of team play and leadership through a series of lectures, discussions, workshops sessions. The programme also facilitates the development of vital skills like effective listening and communication, presentation, team building, assertiveness and problem solving. These soft skills are essential to become a successful leader.

Professional Workshops - These workshops are like intense executive courses which might run by a corporate partner if it perceived that students have deficient skills in an area like Six Sigma, Project Management, M&A etc.

Learning Labs Labs provide concentrated insights about new & emerging technologies in E-Accounting, Managing cross cultural teams, IT including E-Commerce, New Product Development (NPD) etc.

Language Learning:

We believe the experience of learning a second language is a vital part of becoming a truly global business leader. Leaders who are fluent in one or more languages are increasingly important asset to their companies.

Summer Internship Programme:

From June to August after the first year of MBA, students have the opportunity to put their learning into practice while working in a new industry, job function or organization.

Learning Methods:

Graphic Era University MBA programme uses a variety of teaching methods to help the students to develop the skills they need to become an effective global business leader.

Lectures and discussions:

Most teaching takes the form of structured lectures and case discussions, sometimes in conjunction with tutorials or workshops.

Depending on the aims of the individual course, teaching methods may also include:

  • computer and other simulations
  • role-playing or video learning
  • field visits

Group Work:

The ability to work in a team is essential in today's workplace. When you arrive at Faculty of Management Studies, Graphic Era University, you will be assigned to a study group of six or seven students from diverse cultural and backgrounds. 

Beyond the Classroom:

 What you learn in the classroom is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to your Graphic Era University experience. From conferences and forums to lectures, summits and speaker series - the list of events on campus is endless.

Learning from Leaders:

During MBA years, students will hear from leaders who head companies, leaders who have launched entrepreneurial enterprises, leaders who run influential nonprofits and social organizations, leaders who are introducing revolutionary products and practices into the global marketplace.

Students Clubs:

Students clubs are the heart and soul of our community; they cover professional, sporting, social groups and are an excellent way for you to further develop areas of particular interest. They also offer superb leadership opportunities and are increasingly linked with alumni and events.

About The Department

In the present era of globalization the industry now is looking in for individuals who possess not only sound technical skills but also have strong management skills. Bachelor of Business Administration plays a vital role in enhancing these skills.

The faculty members have a visionary approach towards teaching and have requisite qualification and experience behind them. The department has a strong team of 21 dynamic and experienced faculty members.

The department offers a blend of rigorous and relevant curriculum to equip the students with knowledge, skills and capabilities to map the tough-terrains of the ever evolving and competitive business world. The pedagogy includes- lectures, tutorials, IT lab sessions, management lab sessions, personality development programs and conceptual development classes for various batches.
