Worked as Assistant professor-cum- Jr. Scientist, Division of Animal Biotechnology, SKUAST-Kashmir 2010-till June 2013. Was part of the team which developed world’s first hand made cloned Pashmina goat, named Noorie, at SKUAST-K. Completed Ph.D. (2002) in Biotechnology, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, (India). Associated with recombinant human anthrax vaccine development, which was the outcome of my Ph. D. work and was involved in technology transfer to Panacea Biotech, a pharmaceutical company also involved in vaccine production. Fourteen international patents and a national patent granted.Attended and presented work at number of international and national conferences. Several publications in international peer reviewed journals. His work was selected for 2001 ASCB Press Book which shortlisted 17 potential new stories from 3000 abstracts presented at the annual meeting at Washinton DC, USA.
