Collaboration with IBM
GEU has an active academic collaboration with IBM. As a part of this collaboration, IBM offers Foundation courses covering Open standards, Linux, PHP, Information Management, XML, Eclipse, etc. to the 1st and 2nd year students and DB2, RAD/RTC for 3rd and 4th year free of charge. IBM has set up a Center of Excellence in GEU. The Center of Excellence lab has been provided with cutting edge industry specific software like Rational Suite, Tivoli, all free of charge. IBM actively helps students in their project works. The students take part in IBM nationwide software designing competition TGMC every year and have earned laurels.
Collaboration with Infosys
GEU has collaboration with Infosys Campus Connect Program. This program aims to develop the professional and technical skills of students while at college. There are three aspects to this program: Foundation course (a technical course for which certain modules have already been integrated into GEU syllabus), Soft-Skills course and Industry elective courses. Selected Faculty members visit Infosys every year to undergo a Faculty Enablement Program. Industry Elective courses have helped students to keep abreast of latest industry standards. Other features of this program include regular webinars, guest lectures and educational content.
Collaboration with EMC2
This collaboration aims to improve technical skills of students and faculty alike in the fields of Cloud Computing, Big Data and Storage Networks. Industry specific subjects have already been incorporated in syllabus and faculty is trained by EMC. EMC also provides education materials for students. In the offing is a Analytics lab, completely free of charge.
Collaboration with Wipro
Recently Wipro has approved GEU to be a part of Wipro Campus arena. It is an online program where students are guided on their projects and other educational aspects.
Microsoft Ed – Vantage Program
The program aims to consolidate and enhance the benefits that provide the right software tools to the faculty and students. The program’s primary focus is to make students more employable and equip them with skills relevant to industry needs. It is designed to help students connect with various organizations in Indian industry, thereby creating a platform for the students to explore internship and employment opportunities.
Microsoft Campus Agreement
Microsoft Campus Agreement is a subscription site licensing program specifically created to address the unique needs of higher educational institutions. It is a program that licenses all university machines based upon the institutional headcount rather than the individual machine count.
Oracle Workforce Development Program
Oracle WDP allows delivering Oracle training as a part of certificate programs offered via Continuing Education. With this, WDP allows easy access to Oracle training in local communities across the country.
